Quality Assurance Engineer
Job Description
This role involves comprehending the product and devising innovative features. With this comprehension, the QA Engineer develops and performs manual and automated test cases to effectively and efficiently test new product features, and creates documentation for general availability.
Additionally, the QA Engineer will work with developers to test queries for data extraction. The QA engineer will be responsible for ensuring the physician office billing workflow is captured and challenged during the test phase of development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare or computer science or equivalent experience
- 3+ years experience as a software tester
- Familiarity working with SQL, running scripts, and VMs
- Excellent communication skills and team player
- Experience working in healthcare software is preferable
- Knowledge of HCC coding is preferable
- Knowledge of ETL testing is preferable
- MS Windows user skills, including knowledge of MS Office products such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively
- Must be able to pass a post-offer company drug screen and background investigation.
Responsibilities
- Participates in design reviews
- Develops and executes functional tests based on design, requirements, and customer workflows
- Develops and executes automated tests
- Troubleshoots issues and reports them to engineering
- Participates in regression testing
- Provides front-line support to beta customers
- Troubleshoots beta client issues and reports issues
- Manages issues list from internal testing and beta testing
- Escalates issues in a timely fashion and as appropriate
- Review user documentation and provide feedback
- Support and coordinate with team members and other departments
